Prepare

—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Luke 1:17

Advent is a time of preparation for the coming of the Lord.  We pause to reflect,  pray, and read scripture. We embrace how God prepared the way for the coming of Jesus and eagerly anticipate as we prepare for his coming again.
Sunday we will look at Zechariah and Elizabeth as they learn about the foretold birth of their son John. It’s a story about duty, answered prayer, grace, and God’s preparation.
The children will hear the story of how God prepared Mary and Joseph for the birth of Jesus at the Children’s Christmas party on Friday, December 8. They will also be able to select gifts for their families as they prepare to celebrate Christmas together. A special visitor is planning to attend to greet the children with a listening ear and heartfelt Ho Ho Ho.
All are invited to gather to pray on Monday, December 11.  Together we will lift up one another and seek the Lord as we prepare for the celebration of Jesus birth and coming year.
